Some Madison County, Neb. residents without power

MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — UPDATE: In an update at 9:32 a.m., Elkhorn Rural Public Power District said that there are still 1,284 customers without power. These customers are in areas north and east of Battle Creek, Meadow Grove, and Newman Grove.

UPDATE: Services in Pierce County and the City of Pierce have been restored as of 9:07 a.m.

PREVIOUS: As of 8:55 a.m., some services north of Tilden have been restored, according to Elkhorn Rural Public Power.

PREVIOUS: Some residents of Madison County may be experiencing power outages Monday morning.

According to a post from the Elkhorn Rural Public Power District, as of 8:17 a.m., some residents of Madison County may be without power.

The power outage is due to a transmission line that’s out from Norfolk to Antelope County.

The area of effect extends from Tilden to Newman Grove and Pierce County.

Currently, there are an estimated 2,500 customers without power.

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District said that they have crews that have been dispatched but currently do not have an estimated time that power will be restored.

They are asking customers to report outages to 800-675-2185.
